Project Overview:

As the sole CAD designer on this project, I was responsible for managing all aspects of as-built documentation and process improvements. Over the course of this project, I worked independently on over 270 projects over 6 years, collaborating with field engineers and managers across the U.S. to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of design documentation.

Key Contributions:

• Efficiency Improvement: Enhanced drawing production efficiency by reducing the time per sheet from 30 minutes to 1 minute for one type of drawing and from 1 hour to 15 minutes for another type.
• Process Optimization: Reduced overall project time by implementing templates and standard files, cutting project lead time from 2 weeks to 4 days.
• Advanced Automation: Leveraged custom code and automation to streamline processes and increase productivity.
• Enhanced Image Processing: Improved clarity and readability of building footprints through advanced image enhancement techniques, ensuring accurate representation of plans regardless of file type.
• Comprehensive Documentation: Created detailed equipment tables and provided accurate documentation of cabling installations and equipment locations. Integrated advanced functionalities like indexed catalogs and automated output for both design and as-builts.
