Project Overview:
The Sionix Project involved a comprehensive overhaul and optimization of Sionix Corporation's proprietary Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) water treatment systems. As a CAD Consultant, I was tasked with improving the overall design process, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring that all technical drawings were precise, uniform, and optimized for production.

Key Contributions:
- Autodesk Inventor Expertise:
Self-taught Autodesk Inventor to leverage its advanced tools for enhancing product designs and meeting the client’s production goals. This skill was instrumental in creating cleaner, more uniform drawings that streamlined the manufacturing process. - Design Reproduction and Optimization:
Reproduced existing designs to facilitate ease of use and quick revisions, which significantly reduced time spent on modifications. I optimized previous designs for better space efficiency, ensuring that the equipment layout was both functional and accessible. - Collaboration with Machinists:
Worked closely with on-site machinists to incorporate real-time revisions and produce accurate as-built drawings. This collaboration ensured that all modifications were practical and aligned with manufacturing capabilities. - 3D Modeling and Dynamic Modifications:
Developed detailed 3D models of key components, including pumps, filters, and container modifications. These models were used to perform dynamic modifications, optimizing equipment location, access, and pipe routing to enhance operational efficiency. - Technical Drawing Production:
Produced comprehensive technical drawings and production plans that facilitated construction and assembly. These drawings were designed to minimize discrepancies and ensure consistency across all stages of manufacturing. - Manufacturing Efficiency Enhancements:
Reworked parts and designs to incorporate manufacturing efficiencies, reducing discrepancies and ensuring smoother production workflows.
